About AIMAC



AIMAC was established following the first International Conference on Arts and Cultural Management, hosted by François Colbert at HEC Montréal, Canada, in 1991.

To date, conferences have been hosted by:

The International Conferences on Arts and Cultural Management have bring together over 700 researchers, academics, students and practitioners. The conferences offer a variety of viewpoints and reports on relevant topics in the field of arts and cultural management. The papers delivered at the conferences are available in the Conference Proceedings published by the host organizing committee and the abstracts are available here.

The International Association of Arts and Cultural Management also participates in the publication of the International Journal of Arts Management, published by the Carmelle and Rémi Marcoux Chair in Arts Management of HEC Montreal. This refereed journal is intended for art managers, consultants, educators, researchers and civil servants in the field of arts and cultural management. It presents the latest research and developments in the field.

 

 
 

Scientific Committee


 

The Scientific Committee of the International Association of Arts and Cultural Management is responsible for determining the content of the conference. The 14 members of the Scientific Committee come from universities around the world and are actively involved in research in the field of arts and cultural management.
