Sylvain Landry is a Full Professor and Director, International Projects at HEC Montréal.
For the past several years he has led a major research program on the integration of the supply
chain in the healthcare sector, during which, most notably, he has had
an opportunity to observe hospital logistics practices in France, Holland,
Belgium, England and Japan. His work has covered the full spectrum of
this sector’s logistics practices and has provided him with a global vision
of the domain’s various issues. He has authored numerous articles and has
spoken on this subject at many conferences. In addition, he has and continues
to supervise a number of master's theses on the healthcare sector.
Dr. Landry holds a PhD in Administration from HEC Montréal with a specialization in Production and Operations Management, and a Master’s of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) degree from École Polytechnique de Montréal (Industrial Engineering). He is also a certified fellow (CFPIM) of APICS, the Educational Society for Resource Management.
He is a founding member of the CHAÎNE Research Group, an Associate Professor at Bordeaux Business School (France), a University Partner with TRIAX Consulting, and a member of the scientific committees for the professional journals Logistique & Management and Supply Chain Forum.
Dr. Landry is also a member of the following associations:

- AHRMM : Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management
- APICS: Educational Society for Resource Management
Prior to joining HEC
Montréal, Dr. Landry worked in the pharmaceutical products division of Ciba-Geigy Ltd., which is today Novartis (1987-1990).
