The chair's research program seeks a better understanding of the IT implementation phenomenon, via the development of knowledge and tools that will enable better management of IT implementation projects. The Chair will support research projects along three levels: the organization, the IT project and the individual. The Organization Projects at this level will study how IT can help better integrate an organization's business processes. Studying organizational characteristics and the different management approaches that influence the implementation of enterprise systems is an important theme of this axis. The IT Project IT project level studies aim at the development of reliable and valid measures of IT implementation project risk, as well as the identification and
assessment of risk management approaches. The management of conflicts that may
arise during implementations is a parallel theme that will also be studied within
the scope of this axis. Research projects of this axis will study the implementation of IT, as experienced by individuals in organizations. The themes to be studied include user participation in IT projects, the concept of utilization of IT along with their antecedents and consequences, conflict, as well as the design and use of decision-aiding tools. |
