Conference themes
The conference is concerned with institutional policies as well as with the wider discourses relating to the general conditions of culture. Participants are invited to present papers on a variety of topics in the field of cultural policy research,
including: |
- cultural diversity
- decentralization and globalization
- cultural identity
- cultural policy as welfare policy
- institutionalization/de-institutionalization
- privatization
- artist policy
- cultural industries
- models and strategies of cultural policy
- cultural policy and copyright
- culture and economy
- history of cultural policy
- cultural policy, cultural diplomacy and international relations
- cultural policy and development policy
- cultural policy and cultural theory, and/or
- cultural policy and cultural studies

Conference participants
ICCPR is an academic conference that will be of interest to
researchers in the field of cultural policy (academics, students).
|
Conference proceedings
All papers accepted by the Scientific Committee will be published in the conference proceedings, a copy of which will be available at the opening of the conference and is covered by the registration
fee.
Following the conference, a
selection of papers will be published over two special issues of the
International Journal of Cultural Policy.

Proposals, submissions, deadlines
All
those wishing to present a paper at the conference must submit an abstract
of 750-1,500 words (2-3 pages), along with the completed proposal form. The
deadline for submission of abstracts is November 1st, 2003.
Abstracts must include:
- research objective or questions
- research methodology and theoretical perspectives
- main findings or conclusions

The deadline for submission of final papers is April
15, 2004. Final papers should not exceed 20 pages (double spacing, around 6000 words) with appendixes and references included. They should be sent on both disk and hard copy to:
