SUBSCRIBE TO AN RSS FEED
RSS Feeds allow you to subscribe to various sites and read the news on their sites in the same reader without having to go on each site. In WSS, RSS feeds play a role similar to alerts, because both allow you to receive updates about the site without going directly on it. However, with alerts, you receive the updates by email while with the RSS feed you will read them in your RSS reader.
There is an RSS feed for each section (webpart) in WSS.  If you subscribe to one or several feeds, you can read the updates from sections that you are particularly interested in directly fin your RSS reader.  If you are looking for an RSS reader, we recommend RssReader that you can download at this address:  http://www.rssreader.com/download.htm or you can use the RSS reader integrated with Outlook 2007.
