FIMES also regularly organizes
distinguished conferences on the theme of "The Search for Meaning at Work", with prestigious invitees. These conferences are organized as evening events at HEC. They are open to the public at large, to people from all types of organizations and to the scientific and student communities. Critically abording th ethemes of ethics and spirituality at work, the conference participants come from diverse backgrounds (leaders of organizations, trade-union representatives, scientists, politicians, members of religious groups, representatives of spiritual traditions, philosophers, etc…). Each conference are followed by a question and answer period and will be recorded on video and will be later published in different languages.

The conference which has launched this series of conferences was given by Michel Serres from the french academy of science, on the theme of "For a work ethics" on May 25, 2001.
