Measurement of Websites' Usability and Effectiveness
The main objective of this research is to develop and empirically test
a methodology for website evaluation. Our goal is to develop a procedure
that will allow the evaluation of websites and provide information that
identifies specific strengths and weaknesses within websites. Our second
objective is to evaluate groups of websites competing in the same industry.
By comparing website evaluations, we intend to provide competing websites
with benchmarking information. This information should help website managers
situate their position, strengths and weaknesses in relation to the competition.
